Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD has admitted that his government has just experienced its
worst two weeks.

The admission from across the Tasman follows an opinion poll that shows Mr HOWARD's
support in his Sydney seat of Bennelong has fallen to 36 per cent, level with Labor's.

After two hours of talks with New Zealand Prime Minister HELEN CLARK in Auckland, Mr
HOWARD says he isn't surprised by the Taverner poll.
